Fittings are manufactured of ductile iron by dry sand casting and comply with requirements of ISO 2531.

Main features of fittings are provided in the table below:

Lining

The inner surface of fittings is lined with cement mortar. Lining shall meet requirements of ISO 4179.

Coating

The outside surface of fittings is preserved with bituminous varnish coating.

At customer's request fittings may be supplied without lining or coating.

Fittings bear cast or paint marking on the outside surface with the following information:

• Trade mark of the manufacturer;
• Nominal bore diameter;
• Year of manufacturing;
• Symbol of ductile iron as the material of fitting.
